The challenge of maintaining a Christian female presence in Tamanrasset

On May 27 2020, Pope Francis recognized the attribution to Blessed Charles de Foucauld of a second miracle. Thus paving the way for his canonization.
In parallel, the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Charles de Foucauld received from the Pontifical Foundation Aid to the Church in Need its agreement to co-finance the reconstruction project of his house in Tamanrasset, where only one sister lives near the hermitage of the future saint.
