August 4th 2020 should have been the happiest day in the life of Jad, a 32-year-old Lebanese man. At St George’s hospital his wife Cristel had just given birth to their first child, Nabil. It was fifteen minutes of happiness before, at exactly 18:07, tons of ammonium nitrate stored in the port of Beirut exploded, taking 200 lives and leaving 6,500 injured. «Everything blew up, I thought war had broken out. My first thought was for my son and my wife. It was a miracle.»
